University Hospitals Geauga Campus teams up with

Atwood-Mauck American Legion Post 459 for Veterans Visiting Veterans.

This has been an extremely successful program and is modeling for other similar groups what this service looks like. Geauga Hospital’s well appreciates veterans in the hospital doing a welfare stop, provide a service branch related ball cap, visit the family, discuss Veteran’s Administration benefits and work with the veterans to provide aid.

This program not only honors the brave men and women who have served our country but also creates a sense of camaraderie and solidarity among veterans. The sight of proud veterans donning their military branch ball caps and sharing their stories is truly inspiring. The excitement is palpable as they engage with fellow veterans and their families, offering support and guidance. Their visits are filled with moments of reflection, laughter, and sometimes even tears, as they recount their experiences and the bonds they formed during their service.

Moreover, the program highlights the importance of recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices made by our military personnel. It brings to light the various benefits and services available to veterans, ensuring they receive the support they deserve. The collaboration between University Hospitals Geauga Campus and Atwood-Mauck American Legion Post 459 exemplifies the power of community and the unwavering respect for those who have served in the armed forces.

As this initiative continues to grow, it sets a shining example for other organizations and communities to follow. The dedication and enthusiasm displayed by everyone involved in the Veterans Visiting Veterans program are a testament to the enduring spirit of our military heroes.
